Spur gears are the simplest type of gear. They consist of a cylinder or disk with teeth projecting radially. Spur gears are used to transmit power and rotary motion between parallel shafts. The teeth are cut parallel to the axis of the shaft on which the gears are mounted. Since they are relatively simple in design and manufacture they are used for a wide array of applications.

Internal spur gear

Internal spur gear

We can produce spur gear with external teeth and internal teeth. The internal gear diameter can up to 2500mm with gear grinding that accuracy of tooth surface reach roughness Ra0.8.

External gears have teeth that are cut on the outside surface of the cylinder. Two external gears mesh together and rotate in opposite directions. Internal gears, have teeth that are cut on the inside surface of the cylinder. An external gear sits inside the internal gear, and the gears rotate in the same direction. Because the shafts are positioned closer together, internal gear assemblies are more compact than external gear assemblies. Internal gears are primarily used for planetary gear drives.
